ITIL is best practice in IT Service Management, developed by OGC and supported by publications, qualifications and an international user group. ITIL is intended to assist organisations to develop a framework for IT Service Management, and is the most widely used best practice for IT Service Management.
IT Service Management is a top-down, business driven approach to the management of IT that specifically addresses the strategic business value generated by the IT organisation and the need to deliver a high quality IT service. IT Service Management is designed to focus on the people, processes and technology issues that IT organisations face.
ITIL is aimed at IT service providers, IT directors and IT managers, and will also assist business managers, customers & end-users involved in building good relationships with their IT service providers and any organisation that depends on IT Services.

The ITIL Manager's Certificate Workshop is directed at Service Management professionals with management responsibilities for the Support and/or Delivery of IT Services.
This programme prepares delegates for the ISEB examinations leading to the Service Manager's Certificate in IT Infrastructure Management. Candidates wishing to sit the exam should have at least five years experience working in an IT environment and must hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate.
All delegates should have, as a minimum, a foundation level knowledge of the ITIL Service Support and Delivery modules. Delegates should also be experienced, practising IT professionals.
Attendance on this workshop will enable delegates to:
- Develop practical skills in the design, implementation and management of an ITIL process framework
- Detail the costs and benefits of an ITIL based approach to Service Management
- Anticipate and the practical issues associated with an ITIL implementation and develop strategies to address them
- Prepare to undertake the ISEB examination for the ITIL Managers Certificate

The ITIL Foundation workshop is directed at IT professionals who wish to gain foundation level of knowledge of the ITIL V3 terminology, structure and basic concepts and comprehension of the core principles of ITIL practices for Service Management. The ITIL Foundation certificate in IT Service Management is not intended to enable the holder of the certificate to apply the ITIL practices for Service Management without further guidance. It also provides delegates with an opportunity to gain a recognised entry-level professional qualification in IT Service Management.
Attendance on this workshop and successful completion of the education and examination components related to this certification will enable delegates to gain competencies in the following:

The ITIL V3 Qualification Scheme introduces a credit system. To achieve ITIL v3 Expert Certification in ITSM you will need a minimum of 22 credits. The ITIL v3 Qualification Scheme has been structured to ensure delegates receive a balanced selection of the v3 subject areas.
Credits can be accumulated from any ITIL v1 or v2 certifications you already hold. Delegates can either add to these with either the ITIL v3 Foundation Bridge or ITIL v3 Managers Bridge course, or by successfully completing further ITIL v3 modules.
